Firefighters Rescue Two From Christmas Morning Fire

Firefighters and paramedics pull victims from burning house on Orchard Lane in Lower Southampton.

 

Firefighters and multiple paramedics were called to the scene of a Christmas morning fire at 100 Orchard Lane. Emergency scanner reports indicate there were two burn victims that have been pulled from the building, and a medevac was placed on stand-by.

Firefighters Tim Doster, Chris Doster and Brian Armstrong of the Trevose Fire Company performed the rescue from the second floor.

An additional medic was called for a respiratory patient with an oxygen tank at 101 Dalton, which is nextdoor  to the scene of the fire. The first reports indicated the victims at Orchard Lane were trapped on the second floor, and firefighters and paramedics were rushing to the front door.

The call went out at about 11:30 a.m. and the scene is still active. There is no word about the condition of the victims. Fire Marshalls have been called to the scene.

Tuesday, December 25, 2012 Orchard Lane - Box 1-41 Chief 4 on scene with smoke showing side A and was advised there was a person still trapped on 2nd floor. Chief 1 took command of scene and Chief 4 had Side A, with Deputy 1 on interior. Upon arriving Rescue 4 crew proceeded to the second floor to perform search and rescue.
