DUI Charges Pending after Speed Stop

State Police released recent crime information, including a DUI.

DUI charges are pending after a state police officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding, according to police reports.

On Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1:24 a.m., a 40-year-old man from Lawrenceville, NJ was pulled over on 95 North at mile marker 37.9 for operating his vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit, the report said.

At that time, State Trooper Craig M. Acord found that the driver was intoxicated. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for chemical testing before being taken to the Trevose Station of Pennsylvania State Police where he was processed and released.

This case will proceed via summons, and charges will be filed at district court.
