Bucks County Seeks Election Officials

Bucks County is seeking applications for election officials for the November 8 municipal election.

The Bucks County Board of Elections is seeking officials for the November 8 Municipal Election.

According to a county press release, election officials are responsible for administering election procedures in one of the county’s 304 voting districts. Duties for election officials include opening and closing the polls; setting up voting equipment; registering and signing in voters; canvassing absentee ballots and recording vote totals.

Election officials work from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Election Day. Training classes are conducted in advance. In order to be eligible to be an election official, an individual must be a registered voter; be able to read, write and speak English; and attend a training class. To the extent possible, election officials will be assigned to the polling place at which they are registered.
