Sportz Comedy Improv Benefit Shows

COMEDY SPORTZ IMPROV SHOWS WILL BENEFIT COOK FOR A FRIEND PROGRAM AT

THE KLEIN JCC IN NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA ON SUNDAY, MARCH 3

 

            “Comedy Sportz,” two professional comedy improve shows filled with family oriented mirth and merriment will grace the entertainment spotlight at the Klein JCC, 10100 Jamison Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday, March 3 at 2 and 5 p.m.

            The special event is being staged for the benefit of the Klein JCC’s Cook For A Friend Program and is

being produced in cooperation with the Hoops For Hunger 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament which is

running it’s own fund raiser simultaneously.

            According to Abby Gilbert, chairperson for the Comedy Sportz benefit, “The special fun-filled professional improve showcase is open all Klein JCC Camp and Preschool alumni, as well as anyone who wants to share in some really good laughs. I’d like to invite everyone in our community to join us for this most worthwhile fund raising endeavor.”

            Last year, the Klein JCC’s Home Delivered Meals Program provided some 55,000 meals for seniors unable to shop or cook for themselves in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery counties. This program is largely dependent on the Cook For A Friend Program in which individuals and organizations volunteer to cook, package and deliver the meals.

            A donation of $5 per person is recommended for the event. For additional details and reservations contact Abby Gilbert at agilbert@aol.com or the Klein JCC at 215-698-7300.

            Now celebrating its 37th anniversary year, the non-profit Klein JCC provides social, educational

and cultural programs, as well as vital social services for people living in Northeast Philadelphia and its surrounding communities. It is the largest senior center in the Philadelphia area and provides support to more than 4,500 seniors annually through a diverse array of programs. It offers outstanding services and innovative programs for area residents who range in age from early childhood through adult and senior years.  The Klein JCC additionally delivers vital services and programs employing cutting edge practices and strategies. More than 30,000 children, adults and senior citizens are served annually in a warm and friendly comprehensive community center environment delivering a broad spectrum of high quality services to area communities that otherwise would not be served.
