Klein Adds Weight Watchers to new Wellness Center
KLEIN JCC OFFERS WEIGHT WATCHERS® PROGRAM AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF ITS NEW WELLNESS CENTER
PHILADELPHIA (January 7, 2013) In its continuing effort to encourage its maturing adults and senior members to live healthier lifestyles so they can live independently for as long as possible, the Klein JCC in Northeast Philadelphia has added the Weight Watchers® program as an integral part of its new Wellness Center.
The Klein JCC Wellness Center was developed and is being run as a partnership with the Klein JCC and the Einstein Healthcare Network. Weight Watchers is the world’s leading provider of weight management services. In making the announcement, Marilyn Price Birnhak, founder and president of Weight Watchers of Philadelphia, Inc. says, “We are very excited and delighted to become an essential part of the community wellness services being offered to Klein JCC members and the community-at-large through this unique health services partnership.”
Birnhak says that Weight Watchers will be featuring its new innovative Weight Watchers 360° program at the Klein JCC on Tuesday’s at Noon. It is a new weight-loss program built for human nature that builds on its renowned PointsPlus system in which members build on Tracking to learn the strategies necessary to make healthy choices second nature. “Also,” she states, “Andy Auerbach, of Holland, PA, has been appointed as the
Leader for the Klein JCC Weight Watchers meeting.” Auerbach, who has helped thousands of area residents successfully lose weight as a Leader for more than 35 years, originally lost 30 pounds* on the Program and has kept it off ever since.
The new Wellness Center offers everything from doctor’s appointments and health screenings to specialists referrals within the Einstein network, nutrition education and other health related programs. Physical therapy is currently offered through MossRehab, a member of the Einstein Network.
Members of the Klein JCC and adults in the surrounding community may join Weight Watchers from now through March 16th with free registration paying only the weekly fee of $15 for adults and $14 for senior citizens to join. That’s a savings of $25 and $26, respectively off the regular price.
